Prince William joins Knowledge to Action polo team to win The Westbury Shield

A polo team representing Knowledge to Action was royally rewarded when it won The Westbury Shield last weekend with the help of guest player Prince William.

The team was taking part in a polo day, held on the Berkshire estate of Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber, which raised more than £60,000 for two charities supported by the Prince, Tusk Trust and The Child Bereavement Charity.

The Knowledge to Action team - which also included Prince Amir Shah of Pehang, Bruce Merivale - Austin, former England Polo Captain Andrew Hine, and HRH Prince William - claimed the coveted prize in front of 400 invited guests after overcoming the tough opposition of the Jnan Amar Polo team, comprising Rashid Al Habtoor, Tariq Al Habtoor, Amr Zedan and leading Australian player Robert Archibald.

Knowledge to Action founder and CEO Greg Secker applauded everyone involved for a hugely successful day. "This was a fantastic day for all the players and spectators, whose generous contribution of time and money resulted in us raising a very impressive sum for charity," he said.

Earlier in the day, Julius Baer defeated The Polo Magazine to win the day's other trophy, the Inkerman London Silver Cup, while The Westbury Hotel provided sumptuous lunch and hospitality.
